Reiki Level 2 is the next step in the Reiki training journey, building upon the foundation laid in Reiki Level 1. In Level 2, practitioners delve deeper into the practice of Reiki, learn additional symbols, and gain the ability to perform distance healing. Here's what you can generally expect from a Reiki Level 2 class: Review of Reiki Level 1: The class typically begins with a brief review of the key concepts, hand positions, and techniques taught in Reiki Level 1. This review helps reinforce the foundational knowledge before moving on to the new material. Reiki Symbols: Level 2 introduces the use of Reiki symbols, which are sacred and powerful forms that enhance the flow and focus of Reiki energy. Students will learn how to draw, activate, and use these symbols during healing sessions. Distance Healing: One of the significant additions in Level 2 is the ability to perform distance healing. Students will learn how to send Reiki energy across time and space to someone who is not physically present. This technique allows practitioners to offer healing to loved ones, clients, or situations regardless of their location. Clearing and Balancing Techniques: Level 2 often includes instruction on techniques for clearing and balancing energy in the body and the environment. This includes methods to clear negative energy and promote positive energy flow. Emotional Healing: Students may explore using Reiki to address emotional issues and promote emotional well-being. This may involve working with the emotional body and using specific Reiki symbols for emotional healing. Practice and Feedback: As with Reiki Level 1, participants will have opportunities to practice the newly acquired techniques on themselves and others. The instructor will provide feedback and guidance to enhance their skills. Ethics and Professionalism: Level 2 classes may include discussions on ethics, professional conduct, and responsibilities when working with clients. Certification: Upon completion of the Reiki Level 2 class and attunement, participants typically receive a Reiki Level 2 certificate, acknowledging their expanded abilities and training. It's important to note that Reiki Level 2 practitioners are not considered Reiki Masters, though they gain more advanced skills than Level 1 practitioners.
